Support for Mekedonia
Mekedonia Humanitarian Association is a locally-based, non-governmental, non-profit, and independent charity founded in January 2010 by Benyam Belete. It’s primary focus is to improve the lives of individuals facing various challenges such as the elderly, those with mental disabilities, physical impairments, visual impairments, and individuals who are bedridden. Cornerstone Ethiopia, a sister non-profit to YetmAyehu Foundation has provided medical supplies to Mekedonia.
Thanks to your donation, YetmAyehu Foundation in partnership with Americares International supplied pain and cardiac related medications worth $20,000 to Mekedonia. Pictures above show our founder, Dr. Yetmwork Brehanu, donating the collected medical supplies to members of the Mekedonia Foundation. Nurse Yonas, health center representative, expressed his gratitude to our foundation emphasizing the donated supplies were in critical need for Mekedonia.

Donation to Debrebrehan Hospital
YetmAyehu foundation working with Debreberhan Hospital staff to donate medical supplies to aid internally displaced people around Debreberhan region (June, 2022).
Thanks to your donation, YetmAyehu Foundation worked with Migas Foundation, Map International, and Global Health Ministry to collect Glucometers, BP apparatuses, Infrared thermometers, Syringes and other devices which were critical for patients of the hospital. Donation to Abebech Gobena Hospital.
On February 12th Abebech Gobena Mothers and Children’s Medical Center received a donation of medical equipment from the NGO Cornerstone. The center, which provides essential healthcare services to mothers and children in Addis Ababa and nationwide, welcomed the contribution of medicines and medical supplies.
Dr. Yetmwork, who resides in the United States, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to support the institution. Dr. Dureti Jemal Yekatit, Director of the Abebech Gobena Mothers and Children’s Medical Center, thanked Cornerstone for their support and encouraged collaboration on future projects to further benefit the community.
Partnership with Adey Pads
YetmAyehu foundation has recently partnered with Adey Pads, an organization in Ethiopia providing reusable sanitary pads for women and girls. Adey Pads was established in 2019 by Mikal Mamo whose mission is to produce affordable high-quality products to alleviate period poverty both in the urban and rural areas of Ethiopia and support the local economy throughout the entire production and sales process. The reusable pads are 100% cotton, wing shaped menstrual pad super absorbent, leak proof, allergy free, eco pad, hundred times washable, reusable mods that last an average of 18 months to 3 years and light weighted reusable sanitary pads.
